It consists of a basic system, which can be upgraded by several additional hardware and software modules. The measurement is performed optically by use of image processing.
Each DGMS-system is equipped with two objectives. Depending on the diameter range to be covered, the typical combinations are 0,4x and 4x or 1x and 10x.
The basic system is a fully equipped measuring instrument, ready for use. It provides the following standard measuring functions:
Diameter and Roundness of Drawing Dies and Enameling Dies
Bore area of drawing dies and Enameling Dies
With optional additional hardware and software modules, the following measuring functions can be added:
Reduction angle of drawing dies
Bearing length of wire drawing dies
Diameter and Roundness of Wires
Parameters of Shaped Dies, Shaped Wires and Rods.
REDUCTION ANGLE MEASUREMENT
The DGMS can be equipped with hard- and software for the measurement of the reduction angle of wire drawing dies. This is an optional additional function, which can be also implemented with an upgrade.
BEARUING LENGTH MEASUREMENT
The measuring function bearing length requires additional hard- and software modules.
MEASUREMENT OF SHAPED DIES
Shaped Dies can be measured with additional software modules. There are measuring functions for standard shapes available.
For special shapes the software can be adapted to the special shape and the parameters to be evaluated.
MEASUREMENT OF WIRES, SHAPED WIRES AND RODS
For the measurement of wires, an additional mechanics for the mounting of the wire is necessary. This mechanics for fixing the wire can be mounted in the universal holder, which is also used for mounting the drawing dies. The universal holder belongs to the standard scope of supply of the DGMS.
